The Health Care Administration (HCAD) programs consist of a collection of courses offered to support graduate degrees in nursing, public Administration, and business administration. A certificate in Health Care Administration can also be completed by students who have earned a graduate degree in another field and wish to complete a short course of study in health care administration.
Students who chose to complete the HCAD concentration for the Master of Public Administration (MPA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) must be admitted to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and the respective colleges.
Information about the MPA is available through the College of Liberal Arts Masters of Public Administration. Information about the Master of Business Administration is available from the College of Business.
Students interested in the Post-Masters Certificate of Health Care Administration must be admitted to Texas A&M University Corpus Christi as non-degree seeking students. Course Sequence :
A Certificate in Health Care Administration may be earned through completion of any five of the following six courses:
Students should work with their Academic Advisor in the MPA and MBA programs to create a degree plan before starting classes. Post-Master's Certification students should contact the Graduate Academic Advisor for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences to create their plan of study. Courses will only be offered when there is sufficient enrollment.
